An action RPG made by Netmarble studio from South Korea. Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive was based on the best-selling manga. The game allows us to participate in slasher-like battles with opponents, using melee weapons and combat abilities. We can have singleplyer fun or play in coop.
Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive is an action RPG, based on the best-selling manhwa (South Korean variation of manga) titled Solo Leveling. The game was developed by the South Korean company Netmarble, which has in its portfolio titles such as Game of Thrones: Kingsroad.
Interestingly, despite the similarity of the titles, this is not an update or a new version of Solo Leveling: Arise, but a separate project.
In Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP).
The game is mainly about engaging in dynamic duels with opponents. Not only ordinary enemies stand in our way, but also powerful bosses. Quick clashes bring to mind slashers and require us to have dexterity and reflexes. The key to success is avoiding attacks and parrying them, as well as launching powerful counterattacks. We also need to link our moves into spectacular combinations, using melee weapons and combat skills.
As we progress, we develop the character, unlocking new skills (within the Monarch Awakening system). Based on them, we compose our own unique fighting style. Additionally, over time we accumulate resources that allow us to create new equipment.
Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive allows to play solo or in online co-op mode for up to four people.
The main character of Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive is Sung Jinwoo, known from the original. The protagonist dreams of becoming the most powerful hunter in the world. However, a long journey awaits him, as he begins his adventure from the humble E-rank and gradually climbs up the career ladder.
