AC Valhalla: Guide content
The first part of our guide to Assassin's Creed Valhalla focuses on the game's basic mechanics. Here, you will learn the all there is about combat, stealth, exploration, sailing, crafting, settlement development, winning in Orlog dice mini-game, and developing Eivor. Moreover, you can learn more about the Order of the Ancients, raids, important decisions, and romances.
The second section of the guide is a FAQ, where we have included answers to the most important questions. Among other things, you'll find out who betrayed Rollo, where to find the yellow ship, how to change Eivor's gender, how to unlock best skills, how to accumulate XP and gold, how to heal, what the suggested region power means, how to get resources for crafting, how to open chests, how to complete raids, whether the game requires you to grind, how to get to Asgard and Vinland, and which settlement buildings are the best.
A sizable portion of our guide to AC Valhalla is taken up by the walkthrough. There you will find descriptions of all main and side quests. The walkthrough lists the mission objectives, boss fights, and important choices and their consequences. We have also prepared a separate section on all the endings and finales of the main story lines.
The next section of the guide is a description of all the collectibles, secrets and a full world atlas. We created maps and marked every possible collectible on them. In addition, we have prepared locations of collectibles, so you can easily find, e.g. Treasure Hoard Maps, Knowledge Books, unique equipment, Treasures of Britain, Legendary Animals, Animus Anomalies, Flyting, Standing Stones or Roman artifacts.
Our guide also includes the DLCs. Thanks to us, you will be able to do everything in them. You can check out these DLC-related pages: Wrath of the Druids, The Siege of Paris, Dawn of Rangarok, River Raids, Mastery Challenges, and Crossover Stories. The guide ends with an appendix. There, we have a trophy guide, system requirements, controls, information about the game's length and more.
AC Valhalla: Tips and tricks
Below you will find some of the most important tips for people starting their adventure with AC Valhalla:
- You can choose difficulty levels for combat, stealth and exploration separately, customizing the experience to your liking. If, for example, you only have problems with combat, you can lower its difficulty. The difficulty level can be changed at any moment through the main menu.
- Make sure to complete side quests and explore the map in search of collectibles intermittently with participating in the main story. These activities will allow you to get more XP, resulting in more skill points, which are needed to increase your power level and thus pledge to higher difficulty regions.
- Find Books of Knowledge to unlock and/or upgrade your abilities. These abilities will help you in combat, especially when facing stronger bosses or legendary animals.
- Upgrade gear on a regular basis. To upgrade gear to a higher tier, you need to obtain ingots of the right quality and take them to Gunnar the Blacksmith, - spending the required number of ingots will unlock additional upgrade slots. These slots can be filled by spending materials, improving the item statistics and unlocking additional rune slots.
- Watch what you are building in Ravensthorpe, at least at the beginning, as the raw materials obtained from raiding the monasteries are limited. There are buildings that are more useful than others, e.g. the Hidden Ones' office, which serves its purpose during the main story, and gives access to the Order of the Ancients plotline.
- Save game before each conversation - there may be some important decision to be made during it - this way, you can protect yourself from bad decision fallout. Many times, the game offers you a choice: from a few dialogue options which effect is cosmetic at best, as well as important decisions that affect the course of the entire story and its ending. An exemplary bad choice can result in death of an NPC, or enrage the person you're talking to. Saving and reloading can help you avoid some of the fallout.
For more hints and tips, check out the Starting tips chapter.
AC Valhalla: All story missions
The story is divided into independent arcs, but all quests listed here have to be completed in order to finish the game. The only thing that can be changed is the order in which you complete them.

AC Valhalla: achievements and the platinum trophy
There are 51 trophies to obtain in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Unlocking them involves various actions, such as completing the main story, taking part in optional activities (mini-games, events, etc.), finding secrets and collectibles, or eliminating enemies in unusual ways.
The most time-consuming is the trophy forcing the discovery of 100% of the game world. Because of that, getting the platinum trophy may take you over 100 hours. For more details, see our trophy guide. In addition to the list of trophies, we have also prepared more detailed descriptions of the more difficult achievements:
- Equine Attack
- Not the Norse You're Looking For
- Flying Eivor
- Seahorse
- Row Rage
- Skadi's hobby
- A Picture of Grace
- Twinkle Twinkle
- Is There Anybody Out There?
AC Valhalla: Game length
Completing the main storyline of AC Valhalla alone requires about 80 hours. The fun definitely doesn't end there, as there's also plenty of additional content - you can discover locations on the map and complete related activities, do various mini-games and additional modes (e.g. hunting of the Order of the Ancients), or look for hundreds of collectibles.
If you want to complete Asssasin's Creed Valhalla in 100%, then you will definitely need to spend more than 100 hours with the game. For more information, see the Game's length page.

Working with Gamepressure.com since the old days, focusing on preparing guides for large and massive games, although occasionally smaller ones too. Besides more than 200 guides, his writing credits include reviews, previews, and editorials. Privately, almost exclusively a console player, most often playing action-adventure games (with a strong emphasis on good plot), racing games, and horrors. Also appreciates stealth games and tactical turn-based games in the style of XCOM. Plays a lot, not only at work but also outside of it, hunting - within the limits of reason and free time - for trophies. Apart from games, likes cycling trips, a good book (especially by Stephen King), and TV series (Stargate, The Sopranos, and Supernatural).
